Leyrat Cognac XO Vieille Reserve

The Leyrat Cognac XO Vieille Reserve is an old cognac produced by the Blanzac-based cognac house in the Fins Bois region of France. As one of their most highly regarded cognacs, the XO has won numerous medals and prizes at international competitions, and it is not surprising why. The XO is no simple blend. It is a complex and elaborate liquor, with both an evocative aroma and indulgent taste. At first smell, the XO gives off a nutty aroma along with pastry and butterscotch, topped with subtle hints of dry leaves. After drinking, the flavoring evolves to a more distinguished and powerful taste of dry fruit and nuts with vanilla overtones. Providing a long clean finish characteristic of the Leyrat brand, the XO leaves the drinker satisfied yet wanting more. Both a delicious and beautiful cognac, the XO can be used in classic cocktails or even enjoyed on its own.
