Illinois based distillery, FEW, handcrafts its American gin in small batches. Transcending the ordinary, expected taste of American gins, FEW's American gin is distilled from high quality grains. It is ironic that this genuinely good American gin has roots in a temperance town. It may be because of this prohibited notion that FEW met and exceeded all expectations. The perfectly aged gin has notes of fresh lemon and warm vanilla at first but then surprises the drinker. The finish is a traditional, light accent of juniper on the lips. FEW's American gin won the gold medal at the American Craft Spirits Association awards and with good reason. The 80 proof, 40% alcohol by volume American gin is beautifully classic but simply different. It is robust at first but ends with a very traditional juniper botanical accent. FEW's American gin is perfect for Negronis, martinis or any warm, holiday gin drinks.
