Winner of the Beverage Testing Institute's Platinum Medal, Gosling's Black Seal is a Dark Rum that was years in the making, a process that was well worth the toil and trouble. Trial and error were ever-present during the creation process, but in the end, perfection was achieved. The name itself stems from the black sealing wax that seals the stopper in place. The aroma brings about a sense of dark, cooked fruits whose sweetness is embodied within the drink. Selective herbs and spices can also be detected along with a sample of fruitcake. Once it reaches the palate, those fruits have expanded to balance their new thickness with a licorice and cinnamon-oriented flavor that's developed into a exotic offering that will have images of Bermuda rolling through the heads of those imbibing it. That's because it's not only that nation's national drink, but its most exported as well.
