Rum at its finest is something that Atlantico Reserva has been accomplishing through its unique convergence of juice from sugar cane and molasses that translate into a distillation process that prizes the Malta method of alcohol content that's lower. The Solera aging process also helps shape this drink into one where consistency is the end result. Before that aging even begins, there are two to three years of aging for the molasses and sugar cane juice, at which point they're blended for two more years. Then the Solera component takes over for as long as 15 years, a wait that ultimately is worth it. For its aroma, vanilla is one key that has an air of sweetness about it that follows to the palate. That vanilla helps make for a long finish with the help of oak that offers vestiges of its origins in the barrels where it was distilled.
