Founded in the early 1990s, St. Kitts specializes in affordable but high quality flavored rums. Their Shipwrecked Spiced Rum is a molasses-based spirit. It is aged in once-charred American oak barrels for a minimum of four years. This contributes significantly to the rum's mellow character and complex taste. Once the aging process is complete, a selection of rich, aromatic spices and other flavorings are added. These include vanilla, nutmeg, clove, orange peel, and more. Together, these additions give Brinley Gold Shipwreck Spiced Rum its signature -- and distinctly tropical -- character.
