HM the King is a Scotch whiskey you may find on the shelves of certain liquor stores. It is an authentic Scotch produced in the Scottish Highlands despite the company being headquartered in Hong Kong. The HM in the name stands for “his majesty.” While this may seem a bit presumptuous, it is a premium Scotch that will please the palates of most whiskey fans. HM the King is a blended whiskey as opposed to a single malt. The whiskey comes in an attractive glass bottle befitting a king. Before drinking, however, you may want to let the bottle air out due to the rubber stopper used on the top of the bottle. As far as taste goes, this Scotch has strong traces of vanilla and a honey like sweetness. It goes down smooth with a light finish. Overall, it’s a tasty Scotch whiskey and is priced affordably in most liquor stores.
